Standard installation of software (Windows)
All work devices set up by the IT Department of the Faculty of Humanities will receive a standard selection of software. If you have ordered a new device, or have handed in an old device for re-installation, you can notify us directly of any additional software required.
On Windows devices, the default installation currently includes:
- Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client (only installed on notebooks)
- DFN eduroam Configuration Assistant Tool (only stored on notebooks under C:\WLAN)
- Sophos Endpoint Security and Control
- Mozilla Firefox 32-Bit
- Irfan Skiljan IrfanView 64-Bit
- Oracle OpenJDK 64-Bit
- philandro Software AnyDesk
- The Document Foundation LibreOffice 64-Bit
- baramundi software AG Management Agent
- Microsoft Office Professional Plus 32-Bit
- Tracker Software Products PDF-XChange PRO 64-Bit
- VideoLAN VLC media player 64-Bit
- Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise 64-Bit
Additional software approved by the IT Department can be installed independently via the baramundi Kiosk if required. If a particular program is not available there, please contact the IT Department of the Faculty of Humanities (https://www.uni-goettingen.de/en/596095.html) with an appropriate request.
